As we enter a new phase with school closings an remote learning, combining YouTube videos and Schoology is a great way to get started. Schoology allows you to insert media in many of their insert material options. This includes assignments, test/quizzes, pages and discussions. Here is a short tutorial to help you get started.

Flipgrid is an amazing tool for any classroom teacher. The addition of FlipgridAR  helps to end the dreaded student response, " What are we suppose to do at this station?". The AR stands for augmented reality and it lets you place your Flipgrid video into any physical space with the use of a FlipgridAR QR code. Students use the Flipgrid app to scan the QR code and it amazingly appears in that physical space. At a recent professional development session at RTMS, we used a FripridAR introduction handout that was introduced to me by Iris Gomez of our Teaching and Learning department at FBISD. This handout assisted teachers in learning about FlipgridAR seamlessly. The handout was an example of what a learning station handout could possible look like. It had a FlipgridAR video and a checklist to assist the teachers through all the steps needed to complete the introduction station.
